Spend Management Experts Names New Technology Officer, Supports Continued Company Growth

March 29, 2019

Paul D’Arrigo joins Spend Management Experts as Vice President of Information Technology demonstrating company growth in the supply chain spend management industry March 29, 2017 (ATLANTA, GA) – Spend Management Experts (SME), a leading supply chain spend management consultancy, today announced the addition of Paul D’Arrigo to the leadership team as Vice President of Information Technology. D’Arrigo will be responsible for integrating technology, and his expertise will actively contribute to the growing e-commerce demand side of the parcel shipping industry. D’Arrigo comes to the company with over 15 years of experience in logistics, fulfillment and ecommerce, building service providers from the ground up and leading the development of industry-changing technologies. Following a career as an industrial engineer with UPS Supply Chain Solutions, D’Arrigo co-founded two companies – an online retailer of audio equipment and an e-commerce services company. D’Arrigo more recently comes from UniqueSquared, a professional audio online retailer of which, at the time, was also a Spend Management Experts client. “I had a wonderful and successful experience working with SME during my time at UniqueSquared and was able to view first-hand the company’s values and commitment to customer service,” said D’Arrigo. “I am honored to be a part of a leadership team that is focused on delivering sustainable value to its customers, and I look forward to utilizing my experience within e-commerce and supply chain technology in my new position.” During his time with UniqueSquared, D’Arrigo partnered with Spend Management Experts to support the company’s commitment to customer service by offering free shipping in the U.S. and eliminating surprise costs at checkout. UniqueSquared valued SME for being a carrier-neutral provider of consulting and technology services, and partnering with them to optimize its transportation spend resulted in a 15 percent total spend reduction. “E-commerce has become a competitive battleground, and retailers and manufacturers are constantly looking for ways to gain a competitive edge, while keeping costs down,” said John Haber, Founder and CEO of Spend Management Experts. “The addition of Paul better positions SME to provide our customers with the consulting and technology services they need to realize savings across the supply chain and better serve their customers.” In addition to welcoming Mr. D’Arrigo, the company has reconfigured their organization to better streamline their operations and customer service. Kim McQuilken, formerly the Chief Operating Officer, has been named President of Sales and Marketing and Gary Colangelo, formerly Vice President of Client Services, has shifted to Vice President of Business Development. This reorganization of the Sales and Marketing department will better position the company for continued growth. Traci Doenitz, formerly Vice President of Information Systems, is now SVP of IT and Finance.”  In expanding IT operations, the company will continue to improve operational efficiencies across all departments. ###
